Vision of Gateway Worship Center
GateWay Worship Center holds the Vision of establishing people to live in the freedom Jesus Christ has set them free in. According to John 8:36, “if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” And Galatians 5:1 states, “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”
We believe that worship positions us in proper alignment with God and His Kingdom culture and protocol. Therefore we strive to follow Matthew 6:33, which states: “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
As we seek Father God in His Scriptures in continual thanksgiving and worship through loving both Him and our neighbor, we position ourselves in proper Kingdom alignment for the Father’s will to be embraced and lived out in each individual’s life. John 4:23-24 states, “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshiper will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
GateWay also has a mandate from God to do our part in resisting forces that would otherwise influence people in ways contrary to that which God has ordained. Paul described this activity in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6: “For though we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
We are destroying speculations, and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.”
Paul also states in Ephesians 3:8-12, “To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.
This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.” (Emphasis added.) We achieve this by declarations of God’s truth and living a holy lifestyle of servanthood and sacrificial living, preferring our brethren out of a heart of love. Through worship, fellowship, study of God’s word, and activating the Saints in their gifting, we engage our personal membership ministry in the Body of Christ in order to fulfill our part in the Kingdom of God.
We believe this approach to life will activate people in the salvation Jesus purchased through His shed blood and sacrifice on the cross as it embraces the power of His resurrection life force for them. This pursuit of God, His Word, loving Him, and loving our neighbor positions our people to be activated in their own gifting and callings in order to fulfill their destiny according to Heaven’s persona of them.
In Ezekiel 34 God rebukes the “Shepherds” for not seeking the lost, seeking the scattered, tending to the diseased, and healing the sick. Jesus declared in Luke 4:18-19 that He had been anointed “to preach the gospel to the poor, proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who were oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”
His intentions are clearly stated as to the will of the Father for the human race. Our vision is to co-labor with Jesus and the Holy Spirit in order to fulfill Father’s heart in accomplishing the desires of Father in the earth today. Jesus’ admonition to us in John 20:21—as the Father had sent Him, He was sending His Saints—serves as our commission to go and do the same.
